Summer in the city
As the sun climbed higher and the days grew longer, we found ourselves immersed in the bustling energy of Brisbane’s summer days and nights. Afternoons well spent with friends and family at tranquil New Farm Park and days shopped away around vibrant James Street, there was an undeniable sense of life pulsating through everyone in the city.
Here are a few ways our team spent their summer days.
Roof-Top Retreat:
Last night, I experienced the magic of the city from a whole new perspective. At Maya rooftop bar, I watched as the sunset painted the skyline hues of gold and pink. With a lychee margie in hand and the city sprawled out below, we kicked back with a sense of escape amidst the heat of the urban jungle. Jil, Founding Designer
Picnic in the Park:
Today was a perfect day for a picnic in the park. Armed with a basket filled with crackers, berries and cheeses, a linen blanket, and book Maktub by Paulo Coelho, I sought refuge in the the green spaces and blue water view at NFP. After lounging under the trees, my bestie joined me for a glass of rose’ at The Powerhouse. Rachel, our lovely Photographer.
Waterfront Wanderings:
Far too hot for me in the city, so I packed up the family and made my way to Noosa for the weekend to indulge in some sun, sand and surfing. There's a certain serenity that you can only get by being near the water. I took an early morning run through the national park and a dip on the way back at the fairy pools. Sunday was spent on the river in a boat, watching the other sun soaked folk gliding by. All the while enjoying the ebb and flow of the tide. Ben, Logistics.
Cultural Immersion:
This summer was a whirlwind of culture. We caught some vibey outdoor concerts and went to some great art exhibitions. Brissy delivered and there was always something happening to stimulate the senses and ignite the imagination. Grace, Socials.
We’d love to hear your about your favourite summer days. Don’t be a stranger.
